All SmarterPaw products use natural, pet-safe ingredients — no additives, no artificial anything. Catnip and silvervine are safe for cats; Juananip is safe for dogs. Always supervise pets during play and consult your vet if your pet has specific health conditions.
Not every pet responds the same way. About 50–75% of cats are genetically wired to react to catnip, and kittens under 6 months rarely respond at all. For dogs, some simply aren't as reactive as others. Try squeezing or crumbling the product to release more scent — or try a different blend.
For loose catnip or Juananip, sprinkle a small pinch on a toy, scratching post, or play area. For refillable toys, open the side pocket, add a pinch of your preferred blend, and close it up. Refresh whenever your pet loses interest.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place — the freezer works great for preserving potency. If your product has lost its scent, it's time to replace it.

They say this is a trial and it is free to pay shipping and handling well that is rhetorical because it is a tiny little packet and there's only enough in the packet for like two little servings and two of my cats wouldn't have anything to do with it my third cat Tasted it and then walked off so do not buy this.

I know cats are finicky, but I didn't realize they are picky about their cat nip. She has no interest in this nip YET. I did put it in a couple of places, so maybe, just maybe, she'll go to it some day. If so, I will update the review. She seems to like the really soft ground nip from a big box store. However. . . . I really appreciate THIS company in offering a sample before I splurge, only to find out she doesn't like it (hence the three stars, though they should get 5 stars for this service). It's kinda like folks who don't like GOOD foods, after eating fast food. I guess she's just like me. . . . no caviar for this kittie.
My 10 year old cat goes CRAZY for this catnip! He runs around and plays with his favorite bird toy like he was 2 years old. I get a real kick out of watching him enjoy this catnip.

My 2 cats love this catnip. They rolled around on the floor and they also ate it.
We currently have 4 cats that couldn't be more different from each other if they tried. However, we just got one of them a week ago, and he had only come out from under the bed to drink (we put food under there with him)... anyway, I gave him some of this catnip as soon as it came in. He went from hiding under the bed to zoomies all over the house for about 35 mins! It was great! He still sleeps under the bed, but he comes out regularly now. TY for introducing us to this!
