Sourced from premium Canadian and USA growers and cut-and-sift processed to preserve the volatile oil nepetalactone, it triggers the classic rolling, drooling, and zoomies response in cats with the genetic responder gene — roughly 70% of the population. Cats who don't respond to catnip (about 30%) often respond instead to our silvervine blends.

What is Silvervine Leaf?

Silvervine leaf (Actinidia polygama) is the cut-and-sift leaf form blended into our catnip mixes at trace amounts (typically 0.8–2.3%). The active compound actinidine works on roughly 80% of cats — including most of the 30% who don't respond to catnip. Older cats, picky cats, and cats who've stopped responding to catnip often come alive on silvervine.
